I (Kathleen O’Connell) am looking for a Studio Assistant for my book and paper class at the Penland School of Crafts, July 22-August 7, 2012. The assistant is a full-time student in the class, not a teaching assistant. Studio Assistants are selected on the basis of experience, ability, and the desire to learn to help run a studio.
Housing and tuition (for my class) is your compensation! Travel expenses are not included–the nearest airport is Asheville, North Carolina. English is necessary, though it is my understanding that you don’t need to be an American citizen.
